The role
At our client company in Best, Noord-Brabant, you will make made-to-order grinding wheels and segments for industrial use. This is mainly hands-on work rather than assembly-line production, with quality and accuracy as priorities. You check incoming orders and parts, feed the mixer with raw materials from 20–25 kg containers, put the mixture into the correct moulds and place them in an oven. After curing, you finish the products carefully on a lathe. Depending on your technical aptitude, you may also be trained to operate machinery.
During a few weeks of on-the-job training, you will learn each step. Experience with grinding wheels is not required. After training, you will often work independently on a specific operation or order and support colleagues when needed.
Schedule
Day shift: 32–38 hours per week. Usual hours are Monday to Thursday, 7:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Friday, 6:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A four-day week of eight hours per day is also possible.
