The role
As a production worker in a galvanizing plant, you work with colleagues under the supervisor’s guidance. Together, you help ensure that work is carried out neatly and safely.
- Hang materials and galvanize them.
- Carry out tasks around the galvanizing bath.
- Remove materials from the traverse.
- Check the coating thickness and appearance of galvanized materials.
- Operate a forklift when needed.
What you bring
- An interest in the metal industry and an active attitude.
- A hands-on approach and an enjoyment of practical work.
- MBO-level work and thinking skills.
- A good command of Dutch.
- Knowledge of the properties and qualities of steel, or a willingness to learn.
- A willingness to work a changing two-shift schedule.
- A lifting certificate is an advantage.
- Knowledge of the production process, especially galvanizing, the machinery, production and safety rules, and the quality system is an advantage.
