In Houten, you assemble prefabricated installation modules, fit cables and pipes, install technical components and test systems. Technical aptitude, accuracy, safe working and Dutch at B1 level are important.
The role
At our client company in Houten, in the province of Utrecht, you will work in a factory assembling prefabricated installation modules. You will assemble and fit the modules, install cables and pipes, fit technical components and install electrical and/or mechanical systems. You will then test that everything works properly. You will follow safety and quality procedures and work with colleagues responsible for work preparation, engineers and fellow fitters.
Schedule and conditions
The shift pattern and number of working hours are not specified. The contract type is not known. You will retain the benefit you currently receive during your training. Once you start work, you will receive a salary.
What you bring
- At least MBO level 2 or 3; motivation and ability to learn matter more than a diploma alone.
- Technical aptitude, accuracy and a safe approach to work; reliability, keeping agreements and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Practical technical work experience is preferred, for example in electrical work, installations, maintenance, manufacturing or assembly.
- Experience with technical drawings, electrical cabling or installation work is an advantage.
- A technical background is preferred, for example in electrical engineering, installation technology, mechanical engineering or mechatronics.
- Willingness to obtain certificates or follow a BBL work-and-study pathway if needed.
- A VCA certificate is an advantage. If you do not have one, you must be willing to obtain it. With a VCA certificate, you may be able to start immediately and receive a salary from your first working day.
- You are currently receiving a benefit.
- You have residence status in the Netherlands or are covered by temporary EU protection, for example protection for people from Ukraine.
- You have Dutch language skills at B1 level or higher.
- You live within 45 minutes’ travel of the industrial area in Houten and can reach the workplace reliably, including when public transport options are limited.
