Learn the foundry trade in Etten-Leur while working in core making, machine moulding, permanent-mould casting and hand moulding. This 38-hour daytime role includes guidance from experienced colleagues.
The role
At a foundry in Etten-Leur, you will learn the trade as an all-round production worker. You will work across core making, machine moulding, coquille casting and hand moulding.
- Core making: prepare sand with a mixer and make sand cores using core boxes and a core-shooting machine.
- Machine moulding: prepare clay-bonded sand, install patterns and position cores, operate the machine, tend the melt and pour aluminium and bronze. You will also break out castings. You always work alongside a colleague in this department.
- Coquille casting: tend the melt, pour aluminium into an iron mould using a ladle, and remove the casting from the mould.
- Hand moulding: prepare sand with a mixer, use a pattern to form castings, tend the melt, pour aluminium and bronze, and break out castings.
Working hours
You will work 38 hours per week on day shift. The hours are Monday to Thursday from 07:30 to 16:30 and Friday from 07:30 to 14:30.
