Lead the QHSE department at our client company in Amsterdam. Turn policy into practical goals and drive compliance, audits and improvement. HBO-level capability and 3–5 years’ experience required. Salary: €4,500–€7,000 gross per month.
The role
At our client company in Amsterdam, you will lead the QHSE department and translate policy on quality, occupational health and safety, and the environment into practical, achievable goals. You will develop the policy, turn strategic objectives into annual plans and team targets, and strengthen the organisation’s quality and safety culture.
You will embed applicable legislation and certification requirements in the management system and monitor certifications. Through analysis and advice, you will support management and project teams in improving quality, safety and environmental performance. Projects take place throughout the Netherlands, use modern techniques and involve the company from the design stage.
Responsibilities
- Lead the QHSE department and further develop its policy.
- Translate strategic objectives into practical annual plans and team targets.
- Embed legal requirements and ISO, VCA and SCL requirements in the management system.
- Identify risks, prepare risk assessments and monitor control measures.
- Proactively advise management and project teams on quality, safety and the environment.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and follow up on improvement measures.
What you bring
- HBO-level working and thinking ability (Dutch higher professional education), preferably with a background in Quality, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management or Business Administration.
- 3–5 years of experience in a KAM/QHSE role.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, VCA and SCL.
- Up-to-date knowledge of occupational health and safety and environmental legislation.
- Experience with audits, risk assessments and implementing improvement measures.
You are a collaborative leader with a hands-on approach. You communicate persuasively at different levels, spot opportunities to improve processes and know how to build support. You take responsibility and focus on results.
