You will advise project teams on safe construction work, coach leaders and turn risks and incident findings into practical improvements. The role is 32–40 hours in Warmenhuizen, with a salary of €5,000–€6,000 depending on experience.

The role

At the client company in the construction sector, you will be the HSE sounding board for project teams. You will be visible on construction sites, support teams with complex safety issues and high-risk work, and help identify risks early. You will turn them into practical solutions for day-to-day site operations.

You will support site managers and supervisors in making safe, well-considered decisions without taking ownership away from them. You will coach managers in safety leadership and role modelling, and strengthen safety awareness, ownership and a willingness to speak up.

You will work with employees, subcontractors, suppliers and other partners, carry out safety observations and help build a strong safety culture. For serious incidents, you will support investigations, liaise with those involved and ensure lessons lead to lasting improvements. You will also contribute to further developing the safety culture and the Safety Culture Ladder.

Hours and location

The position is 32–40 hours. The base location is Warmenhuizen, with work at construction sites in North Holland. No shift pattern is specified.

  • Strong communication and coaching skills. You can discuss safety in practical terms, listen carefully and ask probing questions.
  • The ability to connect people and interests, encourage collaboration and translate risks into workable solutions.
  • An understanding of behaviour, leadership and culture, and care when handling sensitive information.
  • A commitment to safety, integrity, ownership and continuous improvement.

What is offered

  • Salary of €5,000–€6,000, depending on experience.
  • Employment terms in line with the CAO Bouw & Infra collective agreement.
