Warehouse work in Utrecht: receive and record goods, pick orders and keep the workplace safe and tidy. 32–40 hours a week, including Sundays; salary approx. €2,650 per month based on 40 hours.
The role
At our client company in Utrecht, you will support the distribution operation from the warehouse. You will receive and record goods, prepare orders and keep the workplace organised and safe. Some goods have expiry dates, so following hygiene and handling procedures carefully is important.
Your duties
- Receive deliveries, check delivery notes and put goods in their designated storage locations.
- Record quantities and storage locations in the system, using a handheld scanner and sometimes paper delivery notes.
- Pick and check orders and prepare them for dispatch. You will lift boxes and crates; use a pallet truck, stacker or reach truck for heavier goods.
- Help drivers load and unload delivery vans and box trucks. When they return, remove empty crates from the vehicles.
- Keep stock accurate and follow FIFO so goods do not pass their expiry dates.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised and safe. During busy periods, you may occasionally join a delivery run as a driver's assistant or driver.
Hours and schedule
You will work 32–40 hours per week. The usual schedule is Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 07:00 to 15:30, and Sunday from 10:00 to 14:00. Sunday hours are paid at double rate. Early starts are required. The schedule may change by agreement. During busy periods, holiday periods or staff absences, you may be asked to work extra hours or stay later. For a 40-hour week, Tuesday or Friday can be added as a regular workday.
What you bring
- A category B driving licence.
- Experience in a warehouse or in logistics.
- Experience with a reach truck or pallet truck is an advantage, but not a requirement.
- Confidence using handheld scanners.
- You live within commuting distance of Utrecht.
- You can start early, are available on Sundays and are flexible with working days and times.
- You are comfortable with physical work, take a hands-on approach and pay attention to detail, safety, quality and hygiene. You bring a positive attitude and energy.
