Varied warehouse work in Alkmaar, combining order picking, loading and unloading box trucks, and refurbishing used furniture. 40 hours a week, day shifts Monday to Friday. You can obtain your forklift certificate during employment.
The role
At our client company in Alkmaar, you will combine warehouse work with refurbishing used furniture. You will spend about half your time on warehouse tasks and the other half restoring and refinishing furniture. You will work with colleagues and a supervisor.
Your duties
- Receive and inspect incoming furniture.
- Pick orders and prepare them for transport.
- Load and unload box trucks.
- Move furniture and operate a forklift.
- Sand, oil, spray and refurbish used furniture.
- Keep the warehouse tidy and organised.
Working hours
You will work 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., on day shifts.
What you bring
- Education at VMBO/MAVO level.
- You enjoy physical, active work and being on the move.
- You are a hands-on team player who notices what needs doing and takes initiative.
- You can make decisions independently and also work well with others.
- Warehouse or furniture-refurbishment experience is an advantage, but not essential.
- A forklift certificate is required for this role. If you do not yet have one, you can obtain it during your employment.
