The role
As Warehouse Team Leader, you coordinate inbound and outbound goods flows, storage and related administration during your shift. You work on a rotating five-shift schedule. You plan and oversee goods flows for production and external logistics providers (3PL). You ensure raw materials and packaging are ordered on time and checked on receipt. When needed, you provide forklift support, for example when a colleague is absent.
Responsibilities
- Count stock, track inventory discrepancies and ensure there is sufficient storage capacity.
- Arrange training for warehouse staff and share information about special requests, non-conformities and complaints.
- Ensure compliance with work instructions and safety, environmental, quality and hygiene standards.
- Arrange follow-up actions for deviations, damage and near misses, carry out daily quality and safety rounds, and recommend improvements.
- Identify and implement improvements to efficiency, costs and safety.
- Coordinate, coach and motivate the team, monitor staffing levels and ensure effective handovers between teams.
- Handle performance reviews, absence-related discussions and recruitment interviews, and manage tasks related to recruitment and selection.
- Lead team meetings, monitor the quality of team output, set objectives, take corrective action when needed and contribute to team plans.
Your profile
- MBO+/HBO-level work and thinking ability; a logistics background is preferred.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a logistics leadership role; experience in the food or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Experience conducting performance reviews, absence-related discussions and recruitment interviews.
- Good spoken and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
- Experience with Office, WMS and SAP.
- Able to work on a rotating five-shift schedule.
