Our client company in Fairburn is looking for a warehouse team lead. You will lead 10+ employees and support the receiving, storage and distribution of goods. Full-time day shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; $20 per hour.
The role
At our client company in Fairburn, you will lead a team of 10 or more warehouse employees. You will motivate and direct the team and keep the department supervisor informed about problems or potential problems that need immediate attention.
What you’ll do
- Read production schedules, customer orders, work and shipping orders, and requisitions to determine which items need to be moved, collected or distributed.
- Move materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated locations.
- Sort and place items on racks, shelves or in bins according to set criteria such as size, type, style, color or product code.
- Handle requests for materials, tools and other stock items, and distribute them to production workers or the assembly line.
- Pick customer orders from stock and place them on pallets or take them to the packing or shipping department.
- Label items, record quantities received and distributed, and count or weigh goods to check that they meet company standards.
- Arrange products in the specified sequence for assembly by other employees.
Schedule
Full-time day shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
What you bring
- The ability to lead, motivate and direct a team.
- A high school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- The ability to lift 75 lb or more (about 34 kg).
