The role
At a transport company in Voorschoten, South Holland, you help ensure a safe and efficient flow of goods. You receive, register and label incoming goods, then store them in the correct location.
Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload trucks using a forklift and reach truck.
- Move and store crates and containers of different sizes, including packages weighing over 23 kg.
- Record incoming goods in the system, label them and put them in the correct location.
- Prepare and load trucks efficiently using freight documents.
- Keep the warehouse tidy and organised, working both indoors and outdoors.
- Work with drivers and colleagues to keep daily operations and loading running smoothly.
Shift and workplace
Start times vary: you begin early or at 09:30. Each day starts with a team briefing where tasks are assigned. You have lunch with colleagues and coffee breaks during the day. You finish when the day's work is complete. The warehouse is well equipped with modern facilities.
What you bring
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar logistics role.
- Valid certificates for operating a forklift and reach truck.
- A practical, hands-on attitude.
- A team-oriented approach and willingness to help colleagues.
- Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors.
