The role
As a warehouse operative in Sliedrecht, South Holland, you help maintain a smooth flow of goods. You handle incoming and outgoing items accurately and help ensure materials are available when needed. Your duties include:
- Picking orders and preparing goods for dispatch.
- Loading and unloading trucks.
- Packing materials for shipment.
- Recording incoming goods accurately in the WMS and putting them away.
- Supporting colleagues at the counter by issuing materials.
- Following safety rules and procedures.
- Carrying out regular stock counts and managing inventory.
What you’ll bring
- At least 2 years of logistics experience.
- A VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one.
- A forklift and/or reach truck certificate, with practical experience operating the equipment.
- A tidy, efficient and forward-thinking approach to work.
- Experience with safe lifting operations and securing containers (lashing).
- A 16-tonne forklift certificate, or willingness to obtain one, is an advantage.
