The role
As a warehouse operative, you will manage stock and handle goods received and dispatched. You will prepare orders, maintain and visually inspect equipment and tools, and keep the warehouse and outdoor area tidy. Accurate records and compliance with safety rules are important parts of the job.
Your duties will include:
- Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing goods.
- Carrying out forklift duties.
- Preparing orders with the correct materials, scanning them and issuing them.
- Accurately recording the receipt and issue of materials, equipment and tools, including items issued to each person or project.
- Keeping the required certificates correctly recorded in the systems.
- Carrying out periodic stock counts.
- Receiving returned materials and preparing them for dispatch.
- Checking incoming electrical materials against the quantities on the pallet order.
Working arrangements
The warehouse is in Maastricht, Limburg. The shift pattern, working hours, contract type and salary have not been specified.
What you bring
- A category B driving licence.
- The ability to speak and understand Dutch; this is important for safety at work.
- An MBO level 2 diploma, preferably in logistics.
- Knowledge of MS 365 (Office).
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar role.
- VCA-VOL, BHV, a forklift certificate, NEN 3140 and knowledge of asbestos recognition. If you do not hold all of these yet but are willing to obtain them, you are still welcome to apply.
- Experience in underground infrastructure and knowledge of the materials used in this field are an advantage.
