Work with timber and building materials in a varied warehouse role in Heerenveen. Receive and check goods, prepare orders, and help customers collect and load materials. Full-time, 40 hours per week.
About the role
You will work for our client company in Heerenveen, in a compact warehouse handling timber, sheet materials and other building supplies. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure materials are stored in the right place and orders are handled smoothly. Your tasks will vary depending on the deliveries and customer collections that day.
What you'll do
- Unload, check and store incoming goods.
- Pick and prepare orders for collection.
- Help customers collect and load materials and answer practical questions. If you do not know the answer, ask a colleague in the building supplies shop for help.
- Keep materials and internal traffic routes tidy, flag anything that is not right, and take initiative.
- Help make work processes practical and efficient. You may occasionally assist with simple counter tasks in the building supplies shop; you are not expected to work as a salesperson.
What you bring
- Knowledge of or an affinity with timber, building materials or the construction sector.
- An interest in logistics and hands-on work.
- A careful, safety-conscious approach; you notice what needs doing and take initiative.
- Enjoy helping customers and work well with colleagues.
- Experience operating a forklift or side loader, or handling building materials, is an advantage.
