The role
At our client company in Rotterdam, you move containers around the terminal. You operate large equipment such as a straddle carrier, reach stacker and empty handler to load and unload ships, trains and trucks.
Your responsibilities
- Operate and manoeuvre the equipment according to the process plan, completing container moves on time.
- Coordinate actively with planning and fellow operators to keep container flow moving smoothly.
- Monitor safety on and around the equipment and act immediately if you identify an unsafe situation.
- Record and report moves and incidents in line with the applicable procedures.
- Carry out routine checks and minor maintenance on the equipment.
Requirements
- A forklift certificate is required.
