The role
At our client company in Nieuwkuijk, you make sure machinery, components and spare parts are packed correctly, completely and safely for dispatch. Working in the dispatch department, you handle the final logistics stage before shipments leave for customers in the Netherlands and abroad.
You collect items from production or the warehouse, check them against the shipping list and decide how best to protect them. Where needed, you measure machinery to determine its packaging requirements and build pallets and wooden crates to size, using tools such as a wood-cutting machine and a nail gun.
You add the correct labels and documents, enter shipment information in an ERP system, and keep packaging materials in stock. You also load trucks and containers with colleagues using a forklift and an overhead crane, and assist drivers collecting shipments.
Working hours and offer
This is a full-time position. Exact weekly hours and working times have not been specified. The offer includes 27 days of annual leave and 13 additional days off. Employment conditions are covered by the applicable collective labour agreement. Contract type and salary are not specified. The workplace is clean and well organised, with varied tasks.
What you bring
- You are practical, accurate and able to work independently; you take initiative and prioritise safety and quality.
- Experience in dispatch, warehousing or logistics is an advantage.
- You work safely with machinery and tools. Forklift and/or overhead-crane experience is an advantage; you are willing to obtain the necessary certificates.
- You are comfortable using computers and administrative systems.
- You can get by in Dutch and use English when needed.
- You are physically fit and willing to do hands-on work.
