The role
As a logistics worker, you help ensure that shops at a station in Rotterdam receive their goods on time. You handle orders, load and unload goods, move them to the shops and keep accurate records. You follow work instructions and safety procedures.
Key duties
- Receive and process order lists.
- Accept deliveries and deliver or store goods.
- Pick orders and accurately record stock items.
- Load, unload and transport goods.
- Keep work areas, cold and freezer rooms, loading and unloading areas, logistics corridors and equipment clean and tidy.
Hours and shifts
The role is 30 hours per week, with changing early, day and late shifts. You must be available from Monday to Sunday, including weekends. The stated times are: the early shift ends at 14:30, the day shift runs from 09:00 to 17:00 and the late shift from 14:00 to 22:00.
What you bring
- A category B driving licence is an advantage; alternatively, you are open to internal training to become a professional driver.
- Dutch language skills at B1 level or higher.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and availability from Monday to Sunday, including weekends.
- You live within 30 minutes' travel time of the work location.
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You are service-minded, safety-conscious and careful. You maintain an overview, work accurately and efficiently in line with the rules, and take responsibility for the location.
What is offered
- A temporary contract for 30 hours per week.
- Gross monthly salary of €2,725.56, based on a 36-hour working week.
- 8% holiday allowance, a 3% year-end bonus and a pension scheme.
- 144 hours of statutory leave based on full-time hours, plus age-related additional leave (at least one week).
- Subject to good performance, a permanent contract may be possible after one year.
