The role
At our client company in Europoort Rotterdam, you lead an established outbound warehouse team in a production environment. You work day shifts; the team operates across two shifts.
What you'll do
- Lead, coach and develop the team.
- Promote a strong safety and quality culture and ensure work follows established standards.
- Maintain stable, efficient and reliable outbound operations.
- Support forepersons and technicians in daily operations.
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Production and suppliers.
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean methods.
- Ensure warehouse systems and ways of working remain effective and adapt as the operation develops.
What you bring
- HBO (Dutch higher professional education) work-and-thinking level, preferably in logistics, supply chain or business administration. Candidates with an MBO (Dutch vocational) qualification and at least five years of relevant continuous-improvement (CI) experience in a warehouse setting are also considered.
- Demonstrable experience leading a warehouse team in a production environment.
- A strong focus on safety, quality and standards.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience with Lean, Six Sigma and/or CI.
- Good IT skills and experience with warehouse systems.
