The role
You will work in a distribution centre in De Lier, processing plant products through an automated order-picking system and preparing orders for dispatch.
Responsibilities
- Process plant products through the automated order-picking system each day.
- Monitor progress and help resolve disruptions when needed.
- Handle goods that cannot be processed through the order-picking system.
- Complete the administrative preparation of orders and ensure a smooth handover to drivers.
- Proactively suggest process improvements using Lean principles.
Schedule and contract
This is a permanent contract of 38 hours per week. You must be willing to work weekends; a fixed weekday off is provided.
What you bring
- At least 2–3 years of experience in a production environment; experience in the seed sector is an advantage.
- A relevant MBO-level vocational qualification or a comparable level of professional competence.
- Interest and ability in operating automated systems, along with technical aptitude.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team; you are stress-resilient, results-oriented and a good communicator.
- The ability to communicate in Dutch and English with production partners, carriers and suppliers.
