Lead a logistics team of around 8–15 employees in Zeewolde. Combine daily operations and team leadership with KPI monitoring and warehouse improvement, WMS and automation projects.
The role
As Logistics Team Leader, you will lead and coordinate the day-to-day logistics operation. You will plan and organise goods receiving, storage and dispatch so that deliveries leave on time and meet quality requirements. You will prepare team schedules, monitor staffing and continuity, give operational instructions and coach employees. You will also monitor productivity and quality. You will have line-management responsibility for teams averaging 8–15 employees.
Operations and projects
- You will identify and implement improvements to warehouse processes and inventory management, and report on KPIs.
- Your time will be divided approximately as follows: 60% day-to-day operations and team leadership, 25% project coordination and technical alignment, and 15% planning, administration and reporting.
- You will support WMS implementations and warehouse redesigns. You will also coordinate operational improvement projects and technical reconfigurations involving electrical, mechanical and process-related changes. Projects for customers in the process and industrial sectors range from small-scale warehouse optimisation to automation and WMS implementation. Budgets range from €20,000 to €250,000; projects last from a few weeks to several months and are delivered regionally and nationally.
- You will be involved from the execution stage and, where needed, support estimating and tendering. You will identify and manage change requests with procurement and the customer. Your customer relationship role combines advisory and hands-on work.
- You will work closely with work preparation, engineering, procurement and finance on planning, purchasing and budget control.
