The role
As Logistics Team Leader at our client company in Oostzaan, you will lead a team of logistics staff on the day shift and help keep daily goods flows running smoothly in a food-sector setting. You will ensure orders are handled on time and to the required quality and quantity standards, working closely with the Logistics Manager.
Responsibilities
- Allocate work, guide and coach team members, onboard new employees and deal with problems the team cannot resolve independently.
- Unload trucks and inspect incoming deliveries and temperatures. Once approved by a supervisor, place goods in the correct locations and coordinate work with colleagues.
- Move goods between loading and unloading areas, chilled and frozen storage, and production departments.
- Pick customer orders from pick lists, flag discrepancies, stack and label pallets, and take them to the loading docks.
- Record activities, carry out routine maintenance on material-handling equipment, and keep it clean.
- Ensure all work follows procedures for hygiene, safety, quality, occupational health and the environment.
Working hours
The day shift runs from 09:30 to 18:00. Full-time is listed as 40 hours per week; after the ADV working-time reduction is applied, the working week is 37.5 hours.
What you bring
- MBO level 4 is preferred.
- Leadership and coaching experience in logistics; food-sector experience is preferred.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Problem-solving ability and a results-focused approach.
- Good command of Dutch and English.
- Willingness to work in a cold environment.
