The role
As logistics and dispatch team leader at our client company in a technical production environment in Amersfoort, you will organize, coordinate, structure and optimize the logistics department’s work. You will lead a team of seven logistics employees day to day.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an efficient warehouse layout for storage and order picking.
- Allocate work according to capacity needs and set priorities.
- Improve processes and ensure the team follows the right working methods.
- Manage inventory, carry out periodic stock counts and maintain warehouse records.
- Arrange transport through regular carriers for domestic and international shipments.
- Hold work meetings and performance and appraisal discussions. Track progress with the supply chain manager.
- Lead a daily meeting using a set agenda.
- Implement improvements using Lean principles such as 5S.
