The role
We are recruiting for our client company for a Supervisor in its logistics operation in Almelo, Overijssel. You will lead team leaders and warehouse employees and be responsible for meeting departmental objectives. You will report to the warehouse manager.
You will analyse departmental results and focus on productivity, efficiency and customer satisfaction. Using customer satisfaction research, you will recommend service improvements, reduce errors and shorten lead times. You will also coordinate with colleagues inside and outside the department and act as the contact for internal teams and suppliers on department-related matters.
You will lead, coach, train and motivate team leaders and employees. You will also support the onboarding of new colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement of logistics processes.
Working pattern
This is a full-time role. The exact weekly hours and shift pattern are not specified. You must be flexible and willing to work overtime during the season and, if needed, outside the season.
What you bring
- MBO+/HBO level of working and thinking.
- Demonstrable experience managing large groups.
- Good knowledge of logistics processes and a warehouse management system; WMi is an advantage.
- Excellent spoken and written Dutch and English.
- Good communication skills, a positive attitude, strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
- Decisive, analytical and able to solve problems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, 5S and Lean Six Sigma.
- Flexible, resilient under pressure and willing to work overtime when needed.
