Handle incoming goods, prepare finished products for shipment and supply production in a mechanised warehouse in Veenendaal. 40 hours per week: day shifts during onboarding, then a flexible two-shift pattern and occasional night shifts.
The role
As a Logistics Operator, you will work in a mechanised warehouse in Veenendaal, Utrecht province, in close cooperation with production and logistics. The role combines goods handling and inventory administration with support for the warehouse's mechanised processes.
Your duties include:
- Receiving, inspecting and administratively processing incoming raw materials, auxiliary supplies and packaging materials.
- Picking and inspecting finished products, then preparing them for shipment according to work instructions and with the correct documentation.
- Supplying production with the materials it needs, including nonwoven material, film and boxes.
- Recording goods movements and maintaining inventory records for raw materials and finished goods.
- Helping manage process settings and deal with first-line disruptions in the mechanised process; guidance will be provided.
- Carrying out stock counts and other departmental tasks.
Hours and shifts
This is a 40-hour-per-week role. During your onboarding, you will initially work day shifts. In the near term, you should be flexible about working a two-shift pattern and be willing to work occasional night shifts.
What you bring
- At least MBO-level work-and-thinking ability, gained through education or demonstrable work experience.
- A completed MBO qualification in logistics is an advantage, but not a requirement.
- Knowledge of administrative, logistics and production systems, Excel, ERP and WMS is an advantage; you can learn what you do not yet know.
- Technical affinity and a willingness to develop further.
- Forklift and reach truck certificates; if they have expired, you are willing to obtain them again.
- No fear of heights and a willingness to work at height on the mechanical parts of the racking when faults occur.
- The ability to work independently and take initiative.
