Based in Antwerp, you will handle logistics and packaging tasks, incoming and outgoing goods, sampling and truck loading. The role requires at least three years of relevant forklift experience and forklift and Terberg certificates, or a willingness to obtain them.
The role
As a logistics operator at our client company in Antwerp, you will support the smooth running of logistics activities and packaging processes. Working closely with colleagues and drivers, you will ensure raw materials, packaging and finished products are correctly received, handled and dispatched.
Your duties include:
- Packaging finished products in line with applicable procedures.
- Taking samples before and after packaging.
- Checking and completing packaging and transport documents.
- Receiving and inspecting raw materials, drums, IBCs and tank containers.
- Carrying out quality and safety checks on receipt and dispatch.
- Loading trucks with finished products and applying the required labels to packages.
- Maintaining order, cleanliness and safety in the work area and reporting deviations.
This is a full-time role.
What you bring
- A hands-on approach and an eye for safety, quality and logistics processes.
- Experience in a logistics or industrial environment is preferred.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience as a forklift operator.
- A valid forklift certificate and Terberg certificate, or a willingness to obtain both.
- Experience stacking goods with a forklift to heights of up to 6 metres.
- The ability to understand, speak and write Dutch.
- Accuracy and the ability to follow procedures.
- A safety-conscious, responsible and independent approach, with a positive attitude and ability to work in a team.
