The role
As a logistics operative, you will work for our client company in Rotterdam in parcel sorting. You will sort, scan and process parcels so they reach the correct destination and are ready for dispatch on time.
Responsibilities
- Move and stack parcels and goods using handling aids.
- Load and unload trucks, handling parcels carefully and safely.
- Identify damaged or incorrectly sorted parcels and report issues to your supervisor.
- Help maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
- Work with colleagues to prepare parcels for dispatch on time.
Shifts and requirements
The role follows a changing three-shift schedule with early, late and night shifts. Flexibility, including availability for night work, is required. Hours are 32–40 per week, with a minimum availability of 32 hours.
- MBO level 2 work-and-thinking level.
- Suitable for an entry-level candidate or someone with a few years of experience; willingness to develop further.
- Flexible across the sorting process, independent and practical, with a hands-on approach.
- Good communication skills in Dutch and basic knowledge of English.
- Willingness to perform physical work.
