Lead regional warehouse and distribution operations across APAC from Bangkok. Set standards, manage performance and logistics partners, and improve inventory, transport, safety and cost efficiency.
The role
At our client company, you will lead the regional development and performance of warehouse and distribution operations across APAC. You will set standards, policies and performance-management processes and support their implementation across multiple countries. The role is regional and hybrid, with Bangkok as the work location. You will work with commercial teams, customer service, planning, procurement, manufacturing, quality, HSE, finance and logistics service providers.
What you will do
- Set the regional warehouse and distribution strategy and operating approach, including consistent standards, responsibilities and controls.
- Standardize processes for receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch, and improve productivity, space utilization, inventory accuracy and stock visibility.
- Work with planning and procurement to optimize inventory flows and reduce losses, discrepancies and obsolete stock.
- Monitor the performance and contractual compliance of 3PL providers and other logistics partners. Optimize transportation, distribution, warehouse capacity and the network, and assess outsourcing or in-house operating options.
- Track regional KPIs for productivity, inventory accuracy, utilization, OTIF, delivery performance, transportation costs, safety and working capital; identify gaps and lead corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with policies, local regulations and applicable storage, transportation and dangerous-goods requirements. Work with HSE teams on safety, risk management and business continuity, and follow up on actions from audits and incidents.
- Promote warehouse automation, WMS/TMS improvements, digitalization and data-driven decisions. Develop regional competency frameworks, training and knowledge-sharing.
- Engage local teams, leaders and logistics partners to implement standards and sustain improvements.
What you bring
- A bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, operations management, engineering, business administration or a related field.
- A master's degree and relevant professional certifications, such as in logistics, supply chain, Lean, Six Sigma or warehouse management, are preferred.
- At least 10 years of relevant operational experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution, transportation or supply chain operations, including at least 5 years in a leadership or regional management role.
- Experience managing warehouse and logistics operations across multiple APAC countries, working with 3PL providers, transportation management and warehouse optimization.
- Experience in chemical or industrial distribution, or a related sector, is preferred.
- Skills in warehouse operations, distribution, transportation and inventory management, supply chain network optimization, operational excellence, continuous improvement, risk and compliance, KPI management, change management, stakeholder management and leadership development. Strong analytical and communication skills.
Work arrangements
The work arrangement is hybrid, with Bangkok as the work location and APAC as the regional scope. The schedule, working hours, contract type, number of hours and salary are not specified.
