The role
You will work as a forklift operator at the cross-dock of a transport company in Waalwijk. You load and unload trailers, placing freight safely and efficiently while taking axle load and load securing into account. You follow the trip list to load consignments in the correct order, so drivers can set off smoothly the next day.
Hours and shifts
This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week. You start at 16:00 and usually work until around 01:00; busy periods may mean a later finish. You like to complete your work before heading home.
What you bring
- A forklift certificate.
- A good command of Dutch and the ability to read and follow work procedures and instructions.
- A focused, quality-conscious approach to work.
- Residence in the Waalwijk area.
- Confidence with administrative tasks, such as updating planning lists and supporting documentation.
- The ability to temporarily cover for the team leader in an emergency.
- An interest in guiding BBL work-study learners and people entering the field from another career.
