The role
For a timber-construction company in Vroomshoop, we are looking for a forklift driver/logistics worker. You help keep production running smoothly by making sure timber and other materials are available at the right place and time.
Your work
- Pick timber and other materials using digital pick orders on a tablet.
- Follow the order sequence and load the timber onto a cart in the correct order.
- Move materials using a sideloader forklift.
- Take timber to the correct machine and, after processing, move it to the assembly area.
- Make sure machines and colleagues have the right materials on time, working alongside colleagues in the logistics processing centre.
What you bring
- 2–5 years of work experience.
- Some secondary education completed.
- A forklift certificate is an advantage; if you do not have one, you are willing to obtain it.
- Availability for at least 32 hours per week.
- A hands-on and responsible approach, the ability to set priorities and stay calm when work is busy.
What is offered
- A permanent employment contract.
- 32–40 hours per week; full-time is 37.5 hours per week.
- Pay graded D4–D5 under the applicable collective labour agreement (CAO), plus travel expense reimbursement.
