At a fruit packing facility in Geldermalsen, you receive and check deliveries, move fruit safely and keep production lines supplied. The role includes rotating shifts and Saturday work, with gross full-time pay of €2,107.83–€2,518.04 per month.
The role
At our client company in Geldermalsen, apples and pears are sorted by quality and size, then packed for customers, mainly supermarkets. As a forklift driver, you help keep deliveries and production-line supplies moving safely and accurately.
Your duties include:
- Receiving, unloading and checking incoming fruit deliveries.
- Moving full crates of apples or pears from the cold store and supplying the production lines.
- Preparing batches of fruit and loading empty crates.
- Operating the intake area and keeping it clean.
- Carrying out administrative tasks and cleaning the machine at the end of the shift.
Shift pattern
In the apple section, you work two shifts: 6:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m.–midnight. In the pear section, you mainly work staggered day shifts between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. For a few months each year, the same two-shift schedule also applies there.
Both sections have daytime Saturday shifts at least once every four weeks. If you work on a Saturday, you get another day off.
What you bring
- At least the Dutch VMBO work-and-thinking level.
- A valid forklift certificate is preferred. If you have experience but no certificate, you can obtain one at our client company's expense.
- Good spoken Dutch.
- Flexibility, an interest in varied work and the ability to work independently.
- The ability to work well with colleagues and a willingness to make an extra effort.
What we offer
- Gross salary based on your knowledge and experience: €2,107.83 to €2,518.04 per month for full-time employment.
- An unsocial-hours premium for work before 6:00 a.m. and after 7:00 p.m.
- 26 days of annual leave, with additional leave days from age 50.
