Volunteer day coordinator in Wateringen: allocate warehouse tasks, monitor progress and safety, and ensure goods are ready for transport on time. 16 hours a week, on Mondays and Tuesdays.
The role
As day coordinator, you are the main point of contact on the floor at a distribution centre in Wateringen. You help ensure that daily operations run efficiently and safely. This is a volunteer role.
Responsibilities
- Assign tasks within the warehouse team.
- Monitor progress, with attention to food safety and the safety of volunteers.
- Coordinate the timely preparation of goods for other organizations in the region and for stores so they are ready for transport.
- Provide a clear handover to fellow day coordinators and liaise with store coordinators when needed.
Schedule and location
The role is based in Wateringen, South Holland. It involves 16 hours per week: 8 hours on Monday and 8 hours on Tuesday, during the day.
What you bring
- At least MBO-level work and thinking skills.
- Preferably, experience in logistics or a coordinating role.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep an overview.
- An independent, solution-oriented approach and a hands-on attitude.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with flexibility and commitment.
- Willingness to complete training in food safety and BHV.
