The role
Our client company in Venlo is looking for a forklift operator for its cross-dock operation. Working with the team, you will load and unload trucks, trailers and distribution vehicles, and sort, move and prepare a varied range of goods.
Your tasks
- Load and unload trucks, trailers and distribution vehicles.
- Sort, move and prepare goods.
- Scan goods accurately in and out.
- Check quantities and inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Carry out scans, record relevant details and conduct inventory scans when possible.
- Handle ADR consignments carefully in line with applicable guidelines.
- Identify and report damage, discrepancies and irregularities.
- Keep the cross-dock and work area clean and tidy, and contribute to a safe, efficient workplace.
Working hours
You will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on the regular late shift. The shift starts at 15:00 and ends at approximately 24:00.
What you bring
- You are a hands-on team player who can work in a dynamic environment.
- You have an interest in logistics and warehouse work.
- You have several years of forklift experience and a valid forklift certificate.
- You work accurately and pay attention to quality.
- You are flexible, independent and able to handle pressure.
- You take responsibility and show initiative.
- You communicate well in Dutch.
- You are willing to work the late shift on a regular basis.
- Experience loading general cargo or groupage is an advantage.
