The role
Our client in Greenport Venlo is looking for an Assistant Team Leader, Dispatch. You will help the team ensure that the order-picking process runs smoothly and efficiently. You will monitor progress, quality and safety, support the Team Leader and take over their duties when required.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and allocate daily tasks in order picking and guide colleagues on the shop floor.
- Monitor progress and help ensure targets and quality requirements are met.
- Carry out process and product checks, including quantities, labels and order completeness, and record the results.
- Identify quality, hygiene and safety issues and take timely action.
- Act as the point of contact for visitors and suppliers on the shop floor, and oversee the proper use and care of internal transport equipment.
- Support other tasks as needed to keep the work process running smoothly.
- Guide and instruct new employees during onboarding, track their progress and discuss any issues with the Team Leader.
- Maintain a clean, orderly and safe workplace and follow procedures.
- Work across different processes and cover for the Team Leader when necessary.
