The role
At our client company in Schiedam, you will work as an all-round warehouse operative. You receive suppliers, support colleagues at the counter and liaise with internal departments and suppliers about ordered and delivered goods.
You pick orders, move and deliver goods, and process incoming shipments. You check the quality and quantity of deliveries against the packing slips and store goods using the designated handling and storage equipment.
You also carry out first-line maintenance on work areas, materials, handling equipment and other equipment. You report complex faults to your supervisor. You regularly check sell-by dates, identify when stock needs replenishing and take the initiative to improve processes.
What you bring
- A completed MBO-level vocational qualification; a technical field is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety and quality guidelines and a careful approach to work.
- Knowledge of common office applications such as MS Office, as well as SAP.
- An interest in technology and/or logistics; knowledge of and experience with logistics processes are an advantage.
- Resilience under pressure, flexibility and a team-oriented approach.
- Good spoken and written Dutch.
