The role
As an all-round warehouse operative, you will work in the warehouse of our client company in Papendrecht. You will support the flow of goods from receipt and storage to supplying production and preparing outgoing goods for dispatch. You will work with colleagues and move between different warehouse tasks.
What you'll do
- Receive, unpack and inspect incoming goods.
- Assign storage locations, store goods carefully and carry out stock counts.
- Pick materials for production and sales orders.
- Pack goods, process the related administration and prepare shipments for dispatch.
- Carry out internal transport between the warehouse and other departments using a forklift and reach truck.
- Maintain order, safety and quality, and keep accurate documentation.
What you bring
- A level of working and thinking equivalent to Dutch MBO 2, preferably with a logistics or technical background.
- Several years of relevant experience in a warehouse, logistics or dispatch environment.
- Preferably, experience operating a forklift and reach truck; overhead-crane experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics and administrative processes.
- Experience with ERP software and MS Office is an advantage.
- Flexibility to take on different tasks and work at different locations; a proactive approach, good teamwork and the ability to work independently.
- The ability to maintain an overview and work accurately, with attention to quality, traceability and documentation.
- Good spoken and written Dutch and sufficient English.
