The role
At our client company in Enschede, Overijssel, you will receive, store, pick and issue goods as an all-round logistics worker. You will maintain the quality status and identification of goods and support internal transport to the departments.
Your duties will include:
- Unloading trucks, counting items, checking deliveries against the available documents and filing freight documents.
- Recording incoming shipments in the ERP system and reporting discrepancies to purchasing.
- Checking goods for damage and external condition in line with procedures, and unpacking or repacking items when needed.
- Storing goods in assigned locations, manually or using internal handling equipment.
- Picking and checking orders, labelling items and preparing them for work orders.
- Monitoring and maintaining picking-stock levels, and carrying out and recording periodic stock counts.
- Identifying discrepancies, resolving them where possible and informing relevant colleagues; involving technical colleagues in the inspection of manufactured components when needed.
- Identifying and resolving minor faults in assigned tools or equipment.
- Packing orders and preparing them for dispatch, and registering shipments with a transport company.
- Keeping the work area orderly, clean and safe.
