The role
A transport company at Schiphol is looking for a warehouse operative in air freight. You will handle import and export consignments and prepare them for further processing.
Your duties
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Check incoming consignments for damage and verify the accompanying documents.
- Enter import and export consignments accurately in the system.
- Report irregularities to the supervisor.
- Store and move consignments and prepare them for further handling.
- Build pallets and ULDs (Unit Load Devices).
- Coordinate the handover of documents and consignments with customs and drivers.
- Operate electric pallet trucks (EPTs) and forklifts.
- Keep the warehouse clean and tidy.
- Follow customer processes, safety protocols and occupational health and safety requirements.
Shifts and requirements
- Be willing to work a rotating three-shift schedule.
- Air-freight experience is an advantage.
- Ability to speak and write Dutch.
