A supplier QA role in Zwolle covering inspection, sampling, testing and release of ingredients and packaging materials. Variable shifts; currently a 2+ shift pattern.
The role
As a supplier QA inspector at our client company in Zwolle, you inspect and release ingredients, packaging materials and aids in line with approved instructions and the quality system. You receive materials, take samples, carry out tests and document their release.
You identify, report and record deviations. The department informs suppliers and follows up on these issues. Other tasks include managing retention samples, handling shelf-life extensions, maintaining work instructions, checking specifications and keeping records. The QA inspection department also owns the associated quality systems and is responsible for qualifying suppliers. You communicate with external contacts, other departments, relevant stakeholders and your immediate colleagues.
Shift pattern
You must be willing to work variable shifts. The work is currently organized on a 2+ shift pattern.
What you bring
- A completed MBO-level vocational qualification.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food industry.
- Experience as a (process) operator is an advantage.
- Knowledge of and experience with quality systems are essential.
- Knowledge of packaging materials and/or packaging processes is an advantage.
- Open, clear communication, including in English.
- A team-oriented approach and the ability to motivate others to follow quality standards.
- The ability to perform under pressure, with a customer- and service-focused approach.
- A critical eye for quality, with organized and accurate working habits.
