Site QHSE Manager – Hardinxveld-Giessendam

Posted on 28 October 2026

Lead quality, food safety and HSE at a high-volume production site in Hardinxveld-Giessendam. Guide the team, manage audits and drive improvements. 32–40 hours per week; €4,170–€6,780 gross per month based on 40 hours.

The role

At our client company’s production site in Hardinxveld-Giessendam, quality, food safety and safety are part of everyday operations. Production runs at high volumes. As Site QHSE Manager, you make sure standards are applied on the shop floor, not just documented. This is an on-site role close to production. You will combine subject-matter expertise with leadership and join the site management team.

You will lead the Quality and Safety team and provide functional leadership to the HSE Coordinator. You will monitor deviations and improvement points, ensure corrective actions are completed and address root causes to prevent recurrence. You will maintain and improve process and product quality in line with HACCP. With the team, you will assess risks related to processes and raw materials and translate them into practical controls.

You will set quality standards, process specifications, test methods and testing frequencies in line with central quality assurance policy. You will organise training to reinforce quality, food-safety and hygiene awareness, and keep quality documentation up to date.

You will lead quality activities within a continuous-improvement approach and contribute to developing and maintaining HSE standards. You will support external audits, including audits against BRC/IFS, as well as customer audits. You will follow up findings and turn them into concrete improvement actions, and share experience with colleagues at other production sites.

What you bring

  • A completed bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as food technology, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in quality management, food safety and audits in a production environment.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and quality standards such as BRC/IFS, with the ability to assess process and raw-material risks and translate them into practical controls.
  • Experience in HSE and improvement management is an advantage.
  • Experience leading a team or providing subject-matter direction.
  • An analytical and structured approach, combined with a practical mindset.
  • Strong communication with production, management and external auditors, and the ability to engage people in change.
  • A good command of Dutch and English.

What we offer

  • A gross monthly salary of €4,170 to €6,780 based on 40 hours per week, depending on your knowledge and experience.
  • A one-year fixed-term contract for 32–40 hours per week, with the intention of converting it to a permanent contract afterward.
  • 25 days of annual leave and 3 roster-free days. From age 45, you receive 1 to 5 additional leave days.
  • A pension plan to which our client company contributes two thirds of the premium.
  • Training and study opportunities, with room to develop in quality, safety and the wider organisation.
  • Flexible start times by agreement.
