The role
As a SHEQ Officer with our client company, you will support operational teams on matters of safety and occupational health. The role is based in Amsterdam, North Holland. You will regularly work at sites and collaborate with colleagues in recycling and logistics.
You will translate legislation and permit requirements into practical ways of working and advice. You will promote safety awareness, support day-to-day operations and contribute to improving the management system.
Together with SHEQ colleagues, you will advise management and develop improvement plans. You will also liaise with suppliers, certification bodies and other stakeholders.
What you bring
- Completed MVK training.
- Extensive relevant experience in a comparable role.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation, with the ability to turn it into practical advice for operations.
- An independent, responsible approach to work.
- A decisive, proactive attitude and the ability to get improvements moving.
- A visible presence at sites and the ability to collaborate with recycling and logistics teams to support a safe, healthy and efficient workplace.
- Knowledge of or experience with management systems and standards, including ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, VCA and ISRS.
Hours and benefits
The role is for 32–40 hours per week. The gross monthly salary is €3,900–€5,500 based on a 40-hour week, depending on your experience and education.
