The role
Our client company is seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager for logistics activities involving liquid transport and tank containers. You will develop and implement safety, quality and environmental policies across transport operations and processes involving cleaning, depot operations, and tank-container maintenance and repair. You will work independently, advise operational teams and have a direct impact on day-to-day practice. The work covers Botlek Rotterdam and Antwerp.
What you will do
- Develop, update and implement policies for safety, quality and the environment.
- Assess risks and turn findings into practical improvement measures.
- Advise colleagues and managers on safe, responsible and environmentally conscious work in maintenance and cleaning processes.
- Investigate incidents, introduce preventive measures and coordinate follow-up.
- Prepare, conduct and follow up internal and external audits, including reports and action plans.
- Maintain SHEQ documentation, records and related systems.
- Deliver training, toolbox talks and awareness sessions.
- Act as a point of contact for authorities, customers and certification bodies regarding the operations.
What you bring
- Education and professional level comparable to Dutch HBO (higher professional education).
- Relevant experience in an HSSE or SHEQ role.
- Experience with quality management systems and SHEQ processes.
- Good spoken and written Dutch and English.
- A background in logistics or transport, preferably in the chemical and/or intermodal sector.
- Affinity with the technical aspects of liquid transport and tank-container maintenance.
- Experience with audits, training and presentations.
- Willingness to work in Rotterdam and Antwerp.
Work and offer
The role is 0.8–1.0 FTE, with flexible start times between 07:00 and 09:00.
