The role
You will join our client company in Ridderkerk. As a Senior Process Technologist, you will be the subject-matter specialist in wastewater treatment. You will advise on complex process-engineering issues, both on request and proactively, and contribute to policy development and investment decisions across the water chain. You will assess the performance of wastewater treatment plants, identify optimization opportunities and develop improvement proposals. You will support your recommendations with studies, research, trend analyses, and process models and software. You will translate complex technical information into clear advice, reports and decision-making documents for a range of stakeholders.
You will also advise on complex operational issues and provide process expertise for new-build, renovation and optimization projects. Further duties include advising on permitting procedures, preparing statutory reports, and contributing to asset lifecycle studies, technical reviews, sludge-processing strategies and discrepancy studies.
You will work with specialist colleagues and a range of stakeholders. The position is based in Ridderkerk, Zuid-Holland, and is for 36 hours per week. No shift pattern is specified.
What you bring
- Affinity with wastewater technology.
- The ability to analyze process-engineering issues and turn them into practical solutions.
- At least HBO-level work and thinking capacity (Dutch higher professional education level).
- Preferably a background in environmental or (bio)process technology.
- Knowledge of, or affinity with, relevant professional training such as UTAZ and/or HTAZ.
- At least seven years' experience in a comparable advisory role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
What is offered
The initial contract is temporary for one year, for 36 hours per week. A permanent contract may follow if performance is satisfactory. The gross monthly salary is €4,780–€6,583 based on a full-time appointment. The exact salary will depend on your knowledge and experience.
