The role
As a Safety Specialist / QHSE Coordinator, you advise and support project teams on safe working practices on industrial projects. You provide instructions and supervise operational work. You are a point of contact and sounding board for project teams, helping strengthen safety awareness among colleagues and partners.
Responsibilities
- Advise and support on safety matters, including providing instructions and overseeing operational work.
- Coordinate QHSE actions across the organisation.
- Prepare and review safety plans and Task Risk Analyses (TRA).
- Recommend improvements to policies, procedures and internal improvement projects.
- Investigate and analyse accidents and near misses.
- Conduct safety inspections, behavioural observations and/or audits; report findings and discuss them with project teams.
- Support permit applications.
- Deliver relevant internal safety training.
What you bring
- Completed mbo-level education; a technical field is preferred.
- MVK diploma.
- Valid VCA-VOL certificate.
- Relevant experience as a safety professional in construction, infrastructure and industry is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills and command of Dutch and English.
- An enthusiastic, independent and customer-focused approach, with initiative and a willingness to contribute ideas.
