Learn to assess the quality of fresh produce in Geldermalsen. You will inspect incoming and outgoing goods, work 38 hours a week in day, early and late shifts, and train toward a quality-inspector qualification.
The role
At a distribution centre in Geldermalsen, you will learn to assess the quality of fresh produce. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will inspect incoming and outgoing goods and gradually learn to carry out checks independently.
Responsibilities
- Learn to identify defects and quality issues.
- Record inspection results and deviations, and monitor quality standards.
- Flag areas for improvement and contribute to solutions.
- You can attend quality-inspector seminars and complete the required training modules toward an inspector qualification.
Most work takes place in a chilled area at approximately 4 °C. Comfortable protective workwear is provided.
What you bring
You do not need to be an experienced quality controller. Curiosity and a willingness to learn are important.
- MBO-level work and thinking skills (Dutch vocational-education level).
- An interest in fresh produce and its quality.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Motivation, willingness to learn, resilience under pressure and flexibility.
- The ability to make yourself understood in Dutch and English.
- Willingness to work early or late shifts and on Saturdays.
- A Dutch certificate of conduct (VOG) is required.
A quality-inspector diploma or a specialist qualification in this sector is not required; you can complete the necessary training while in the role.
Terms and schedule
- 38 hours per week.
- Work runs from Monday to Saturday, with shifts between 07:00 and 19:00. Shifts may be day, early or late; you work on a Saturday roughly once every two or three weeks.
- A temporary one-year contract.
- Gross salary from €2,900 per month.
- 26 days of annual leave and a travel-cost allowance when the commuting distance exceeds 10 km.
