The role
As a Quality Control Engineer, you coordinate inspections for shipbuilding projects and carry out quality checks yourself. You ensure complete quality-control reporting and verify that work meets applicable standards and requirements. The position is based in Nieuw-Lekkerland, Zuid-Holland.
- Independently measure and inspect welded structures and machined products.
- Perform incoming and outgoing checks for dimensions, completeness and any damage.
- Carry out inspections at suppliers in the Netherlands and abroad, including checks on welding work.
- Perform inspections at the site and at customer locations.
You work closely with different teams to keep inspections efficient and contribute to process optimization and quality improvement. Within established frameworks, you will also have room to shape the role.
What you bring
- A working and thinking level equivalent to Dutch MBO vocational education.
- Several years of experience as a Quality Control Engineer.
- Shipbuilding experience, from structural work through outfitting.
- The ability to work effectively with colleagues, customers, suppliers and certification bodies.
- A careful and accurate approach to your work.
