Support audits, documentation and improvement actions in quality, occupational health and safety, and information security. Based in Lippenhuizen, 32–36 hours per week; a one-year temporary contract with the intention of permanent employment.

The role

As a QHSE support officer, you will help our client company maintain and improve processes and arrangements for quality, occupational health and safety. The work is practical and hands-on: keeping documentation current, tracking actions, and highlighting risks and opportunities for improvement. You will also support information security. The role is based in Lippenhuizen, Fryslân.

You will work with colleagues and receive guidance from a manager responsible for these areas. An external specialist supports complex information-security questions. As your knowledge and experience grow, you will take on more tasks independently.

Your responsibilities

  • Maintain procedures, work instructions, registers and other QHSE documentation; manage version control, review dates and records.
  • Prepare, carry out and follow up internal audits, and support external audits.
  • Record deviations, risks and improvement actions; monitor action points and deadlines and follow up with action owners.
  • Support the workplace risk assessment and action plan, track measures and identify occupational health and safety risks.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and suggest practical improvements.
  • Maintain information-security agreements and documentation, flag risks and follow up improvement actions. Help promote secure handling of company, client and employee information, and support audits and reviews.

What we’re looking for

  • At least Dutch HBO-level working and thinking ability (higher professional education level). A relevant qualification is preferred, for example in quality management, safety science, integrated safety management, business administration or a similar field.
  • An interest in quality, occupational health and safety, and information security.
  • A practical, careful, accurate and organised approach, with the ability to analyse and identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • The ability to work independently and know when to consult others.
  • Good written and communication skills.
  • A willingness to learn and develop, an interest in digital systems and process optimisation, and confidence using Microsoft Office.

What we offer

  • An initial one-year temporary contract, with the intention of moving to permanent employment.
  • 32–36 hours per week, by agreement.
  • A market-aligned salary based on your education and experience.
  • A varied, autonomous role with guidance and opportunities to develop in quality, occupational health and safety, and information security.
  • A mobile phone and laptop, good employment benefits and a pension scheme.
