Lead QHSE in an international production environment in Apeldoorn. Develop management systems and policy, advise senior management and lead local QHSE and prevention staff. Full-time role with hybrid working available after onboarding.
The role
In this full-time position with our client company in Apeldoorn, you will be responsible for the QHSE management systems and their ongoing development. You will translate organisational objectives and local regulations into policy and practical implementation in an international production environment. The role combines strategic and tactical work with the prompt resolution of operational issues.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and VCA management systems.
- Work with management to understand operational challenges, provide proactive advice in line with business objectives and group-wide QHSE policy, and develop the group's strategic QHSE plan.
- Hold overall accountability for the QHSE management systems and act as management's point of contact for certification bodies.
- Lead local QHSE and prevention staff and work with teams across the group's different entities to implement the plan.
- Prepare the budget, substantiate its expected return and take responsibility for it.
- Promote consistent working practices throughout the group, establish international consultation structures and define departmental KPIs.
Your background
- A level of work and thinking equivalent to HBO (Dutch higher professional education).
- Several years of QHSE experience in an international production environment.
- The ability to act as a strategic adviser and discussion partner for the board and management.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect people and switch easily between topics.
- The ability to communicate on equal terms with people at different levels, inside and outside the organisation.
- Excellent spoken and written Dutch and English; German is an advantage.
