As a full-time QHSE Coordinator in Maasdijk, you will develop and monitor quality, occupational health and safety, and environmental processes, visit construction sites and advise project teams. The role offers autonomy, training, a suitable salary and additional benefits.

The role

As QHSE Coordinator at our client company in Maasdijk, South Holland, you will help embed quality, occupational health and safety, and environmental requirements in day-to-day work. This is a full-time role, combining work with office colleagues and project teams with regular visits to construction sites.

You will manage, monitor and develop the QHSE management system in line with applicable standards and certifications, including ISO 9001 and the two-star VCA certification. The ambition is to progress to VCA MAX (SCL 3).

  • Advise and support colleagues and project teams on quality, working conditions, safety and environmental matters.
  • Visit construction sites, carry out workplace inspections and safety rounds, and discuss your findings with the people involved.
  • Identify risks and improvement opportunities and help implement appropriate measures.
  • Support the development and updating of procedures, guidelines and safety documentation. Help project teams with the Dutch Building Quality Assurance Act (Wkb) and the documented assurance of construction quality.
  • Organise and guide internal and external audits, record and analyse incidents, and initiate improvement actions.
  • Monitor relevant legislation and developments in construction, promote safety awareness, and report on QHSE performance and opportunities to improve working practices.

What you bring

  • Relevant higher professional education (HBO), for example in integrated safety, construction or a related field.
  • Relevant KAM experience, preferably in construction.
  • Knowledge of current laws and regulations covering quality, working conditions, safety and the environment, and familiarity with relevant certifications and management systems.
  • The ability to apply theoretical methods in practice, distinguish content from processes, and analyse processes to identify improvements.
  • A strong safety mindset and the ambition to help progress towards VCA MAX (SCL 3).
  • A precise and critical approach with a practical outlook. You communicate clearly, engage colleagues, and can discuss improvements and give direct advice to colleagues and management.
  • A proactive attitude, confidence to stand your ground, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Confidence on construction sites and familiarity with construction terminology.
  • A category B driving licence.

What is offered

  • A varied full-time role with regular contact with office colleagues and construction site teams.
  • Challenging housing and commercial property projects, with room to take initiative and further develop the QHSE policy.
  • An engaged management team committed to reducing accidents and improving structured ways of working.
  • A suitable salary and good secondary benefits.
  • A laptop and mobile phone, plus the option of a lease car for site visits.
  • Training and development opportunities, wellbeing initiatives and team activities.
