As a QESH Engineer in Helmond, you will improve quality, safety and compliance through audits, investigations and practical improvements. 40 hours per week; salary €4,496–€5,529 per month.
The role
As a QESH Engineer with our client company, you will work in its Quality, Environment, Safety & Health department in Helmond. This coordinating and advisory role involves working with different teams. You will combine office work with contact on the shop floor and with suppliers, turning applicable requirements into practical improvements.
What you will do
- Carry out internal and supplier audits, report findings and follow up on actions and improvement points.
- Set up, implement and further develop Quality Control and Quality Assurance systems.
- Analyze and follow up on non-conformities, including complaints and rejected items, and turn root causes into lasting improvements.
- Initiate and guide improvement teams to raise the quality of products and processes.
- Monitor and implement QESH policy and the QESH management system.
- Advise on applicable legislation, regulations and product requirements, and support their implementation.
- Manage hazardous substances and coordinate safety walks, workplace assessments and incident investigations.
- Draft and update procedures, work instructions and guidelines with the relevant teams.
- Prepare clear QESH reports and advise promptly on deviations, incidents and emergencies.
What you bring
- Professional working and thinking ability comparable to Dutch HBO level. A relevant educational background, preferably in quality, environmental technology or safety, is an advantage.
- Knowledge of or experience with quality assurance, audits, non-conformities and improvement processes.
- The ability to work within procedures and legal frameworks and keep up with developments in the field.
- Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain findings, risks and improvement proposals to colleagues at different levels.
- Comfort with a role that combines office work with shop-floor and supplier contact.
- Experience with hazardous substances, occupational safety or supplier quality assurance is a plus.
