The role
At our client company in Haarlem, North Holland, you will work in a brewery setting. You will safeguard product quality and food safety, working closely with the brewmaster and production team.
Key responsibilities
- Continuously improve HACCP, food safety and QA systems and implement the microbiology and quality programme.
- Carry out sampling, analyses and monitoring, safeguarding quality and food safety across the brewery.
- Investigate deviations, complaints and process disruptions and ensure effective corrective actions.
- Manage QA documentation, SOPs, traceability and audit preparations, and support internal and external audits.
- In your prevention role, maintain the workplace risk assessment and action plan, identify safety risks, work with colleagues and occupational health and safety professionals, and provide practical support on the production floor when needed.
What you bring
- Higher education in a relevant field, such as microbiology, food technology, food science, biotechnology or a similar discipline.
- Practical knowledge of microbiology, fermentation and HACCP.
- An analytical, hands-on and proactive approach, with the confidence to speak up when quality or safety is not right.
- Experience in a brewery, beverage or food production is an advantage, but not essential; fast-learning early-career candidates are welcome.
- Good command of English; Dutch is an advantage.
